ColdFusion is a server application and software development framework used for developing the computer software, especially dynamic web sites. ColdFusion is a product similar to Microsoft ASP.NET, JavaServer Pages and PHP. ColdFusion is the first technology that provides the ability to create dynamic web sites that are connected to the backend database.
ColdFusion was first developed in Allaire Corporation, by brothers JJ and Jeremy Allaire up to version 5 before bought by Macromedia. Version is sold by Macromedia Macromedia Coldfusion MX 7. After Macromedia was purchased by Adobe, the software was renamed Adobe ColdFusion 8.
