CMOS battery

CMOS battery (also called the CMOS RAM or just CMOS) is a battery used by the BIOS to remain active even without electricity. One of its uses to activate and run a clock function, and save BIOS settings, and generally wear button batteries (batteries are flat, round, diameter and thickness varies).
