CPU functions

CPU function like a calculator, only much more powerful CPU processing power. The main function of the CPU is doing the arithmetic and logic operations on data retrieved from memory or from the information entered via some hardware, like keyboards, scanners, control lever, and mouse. CPU controlled using a set of instructions the computer software. The software can be executed by the CPU to read from storage media such as hard disks, floppy disks, compact discs, or tape recorder. These instructions are then stored in advance in physical memory (RAM), in which each instruction will be assigned a unique address called a memory address. Subsequently, the CPU can access data in data RAM by specifying the desired address.

When a program is executed, the data flow from the RAM into a unit called a bus, which connects the CPU with RAM. Then decoded using the data processing units called dekoder instructions capable of translating the instructions. Data then walked to the arithmetic and logic unit (ALU) that do calculations and comparisons. Data can be stored temporarily by the ALU in a memory location called registers that can be retrieved quickly for processing. ALU can perform certain operations, including addition, multiplication, subtraction, testing conditions against the data in the register, to send the results back into physical memory processing, storage media, or register prior to processing the processing result again. During this process occurs, a unit within the CPU, called the program counter will monitor the successful instruction is executed so that instruction can be executed in the correct order and in accordance
